About my book
Part 1 My Extraordinary Life is my memoir. It recalls my parent's accounts of our daring escape from the brutal Russian communist dictatorship in East Germany where I was born in 1951.
Russia abolished democracy and private ownership. People who voiced their objections or tried to flee were executed.
After we spent the next four years in an American-run Refugee Camp in Wentorf near Hamburg in the West, we started a new life with nothing but the clothes we wore.
My story goes on to describe my happiest and most horrendous encounters in life, including sexual abuse during childhood.
At times life served unsurmountable challenges, some so traumatic, that I almost lost my life, twice.

Part 2 My self-help manual.
This is the end product of my life-long learning and teaching experience. It's how I taught myself and many others to change pessimistic thoughts into positive thinking habits with just three easy-to-use strategies that create calm and confidence, even when we are facing our most stressful challenges.

I wish my book inspires those who struggle, to use my manual for turning their stumbling blocks into stepping stones on a journey to become the best we can be.
